Monthly Digest (November 2007)

We've had a lot of exciting activities this November. Mostly, theatre & show hopping on weekends and preparing for the long awaited trip home to Manila, Philippines. =)

This month, we were able to watch Chitty Chitty Bang Bang The Musical at The Esplanade Theatre and Mickey Mouse Magic Show at Singapore Indoor Stadium with Jeremy. I am very glad that Jeremy enjoy watching musicals because we've no worries of him making inappropriate sounds or acting up while the show is on. Ok, I admit the shows were children/toddler friendly. =)

Jeremy and I particularly enjoyed watching the Chitty Chitty Bang Bang because of the sensational sets, stunning effects and beautiful music. Jeremy's favorite is definitely the magical car, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. He was totally enthralled when the car turned out all shiny after the inventor, Caractacus Potts tinkered with the old 'junk'. When the car suddenly went hovering / flying on stage, Jeremy's mouth literally dropped open and his two small almond shaped eyes became like round saucers. I think mine did too! ;-)

As for the Mickey Mouse Magic Show, well, not so impressed with the show but then, it's a show for the children. Jerry loved it and that's all that matters.

As for our one-week vacation in Manila, Philippines. It was fantastic! During this trip, Jeremy was able to
1. overcome his fear of the dentist and had his first dental check-up and cleaning
2. attend one of the best planned and well-organized birthday party of my godson Matthew Connor. He had so much fun and participated in almost every game.
3. eat the infamous 'balut' (duck egg with a fetus inside) - he ate 2 in one sitting
4. ride the tricycle and 'kalesa' (Phil horse-drawn carriage)

He also wanted to get on a jeepney but we weren't able to let him ride one this time - will do that on our next visit to the Philippines.

Wish we could have stayed longer than 1 week since we weren't able to meet everyone that we'd like to meet and have more bonding time with cousins.

Overall, it was a good and very productive trip.
